Aluminum Storm Panels

Aluminum Panels provide a lightweight, rust free and low cost solution to providing hurricane protection against wind and flying debris.

Aluminum panels stack together for easy storage and are compatible with ClearGuard panels. They can be mounted directly to the structure or on aluminum tracks in white or bronze. Aluminum panels are Miami-Dade approved and available in a white or mill finish.

Panels are also available in Galvanized steel, the most inexpensive option, and are Florida Building Code approved.

ClearGuard Panels

ClearGuard, the ultimate in Clear panel protection. Every homeowner should be sure to have a clear panel system that allows light in and vision out. These lightweight panels are easy to put up and to store away. Our Clear panels are compatible with metal panels for compact stacking and for instant metal upgrades.

ClearGuard panels provide a safe and easy system, they are ultra light-weight, compared to steel panels, and have UV inhibitors. Panels increase security when left up while allowing light in and vision out.

ClearGuard panels are Miami-Dade building code approved. Clear Hurricane Protection that is affordable and comes with a TEN YEAR WARRANTY. Standard and custom sizes available.

Roll Up Shutters

The ultimate in ease of use, Roll-up shutters provide security and hurricane protection with the press of a button or via hand crank. When not completely locked down they also provide sun protection while allowing diffused light in. Roll-up shutters have many options allowing them to be operated from inside or outside the building, electronically or manually, via switch or remote and individually or in groups. Battery backup systems are also available to run the shutters in case of power outages.

Roll-up shutters can be installed easily on existing buildings. The shutters are typically oriented on the outside of the structure and run down tracks on either side of the opening. Our Roll-ups are aluminum in construction and are building code approved. They are available in a number of standard colors and the housing and rails can be custom colored. Special housing frames are available to allow the shutter to be hidden behind a façade for new construction or remodeling projects. You will notice our roll-up shutters are the best on the market.

Accordion Shutters

Home and business owners prefer the accordion shutters over panels for their cost and ease of operation.

Accordion shutters are constructed of strong extruded aluminum and are permanently attached to the structure with inside or outside locking. When in the open position our accordions have a low "stack" of material.

The extremely minimal stacking of blades in the open position makes the accordion aesthetically pleasing. The Accordions can be made to lock from the inside or outside to provide excellent security. They are available in a number of standard colors.

Our accordions have an extremely durable closure system which meets the rigorous Miami-Dade impact and wind load tests.

Bahama Shutters

Bahama Shutters provide a tropical look while also providing hurricane protection.

These shutters are hinged at the top and angled out from the window providing sun protection when open while allowing visibility through louvered blades.

Bahama shutters are constructed of aluminum and are available in a wide variety of standard colors or can be custom painted to fit your needs.

Bahama shutters are available in a number of protection levels; they can be purchased as decorative only or as storm protection.

Colonial Shutters

Colonial Shutters provide the security of hurricane protection while adding to the look of your home. They are of aluminum construction and are available in a wide variety of standard colors, they can also be custom painted to your specifications.

The shutters swing shut on hinges and can be latched from either the inside or outside of the shutter.

Colonial shutters are available in a number of protection levels.

Garage Doors

During a hurricane or severe storm, your home can be breached if wind forces cause the garage door to buckle or lift out of its tracks. When this opening is created, air pressure within your home can cause catastrophic structure failure.

Many popular products now have windload-rated reinforcements. These doors comply with various approval agencies, including the Florida Building Code, ICC (International Code Council) TDI (Texas Department of Insurance) and Dade County (FL). Clopay’s wind load chamber is capable of testing garage doors in many sizes, from the lowest pressures to over 100 PSF! Several hundred certified wind load tests have been performed at Clopay’s wind load chamber over the past decade.

All Clopay Building Products Company certified wind load tests are witnessed by an independent, licensed professional engineer to ensure that the wind load testing is performed to the test standards. In addition, Clopay WindCode doors are designed by a staff headed by a licensed professional engineer employed at their technical center. Clopay’s engineering team has dozens of years of cumulative wind load design experience. Flood & Ventilation

How it works
The Smart VENT® door is latched closed until flood water enters. Entering flood water lifts the patented internal floats which unlatches and rotates the door open. This allows the flood water to automatically enter and exit through the frame opening, relieving the pressure from your foundation walls.

Important note: SmartVENT® does not rely on the louvers to let flood water in and out. Regardless of the louvers' position, opened or closed, when flood water flows into the door, the internal floats release the door to rotate open to relieve the hydrostatic pressure. The louvers and pest screen are rotated out of the path of the flood water. The temperature controlled louvers are for ventilation purposes only.
